RadaScan is the latest and most advanced local position reference system for use in DP and other vessel control applications.
It has been specifically designed for the offshore sector with a high-precision tracking range extending from 10 to 1000 metres under all operational weather conditions. Its typical position accuracy is 0.25 metres.

RadaScan can operate at ranges as close as 10 metres where GPS/DGPS may be affected by the shadow of the rig or platform.
RadaScan overcomes the weather limitations that can affect laser-based systems, and does not have the water-depth limitations of taut-wire. It is fully compatible with all types of modern DP system.
